Fish :: Matsyasana

This is a great counter pose to the Shoulder Stand and should always follow it. It is a great pose for correcting any tendency to slump or round ones shoulders. When held it is great exercise for the chest and tones the nerves in the neck and back. It also expands the ribcage and helps to increase lung capacity.

The palms are flat on the ground with the thumbs together underneath your buttocks. Your elbows are close together and the top of your head is on the ground.
